NEWCOMER’S PICNIC

Wascana Park at the Bandstand
The Newcomer's Picnic is an event that is held each year on July 1st beginning at 11:00am to 1:00pm in Wascana Park at the Bandstand near the Honoring Tree which represents a beacon of welcome to all newcomers to the City of Regina.
The event also fosters an opportunity for newcomers to meet fellow newcomers, make connections and become familiar with their new surroundings in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. Banners and displays are set up around the event to welcome the newcomers.
- Welcome speeches by Federal, Provincial & Municipal Government
- Welcome speeches by Sponsor, Donors, and affiliate partners.
- Socializing, Children's Activities such as Face Painting, Balloon Art, Play Structure, Arts & Crafts
- Network and Information sessions where pamphlets are distributed for the adults during these sessions.
