Fiyin Obayan is a multi-faceted creative entrepreneur, musician, and community leader based in Saskatchewan. She is the Founder and Creative Director of Okiki Consulting, a strategic video production company that empowers organizations to tell their stories through impactful video content. Since 2017, Fiyin has worked with diverse clients from nonprofits to corporate brands, she has been delivering social media strategy, video production, editing, and content strategy workshops that help organizations connect meaningfully with their audiences.
A graduate of the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan, Fiyin holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Marketing. She brings her expertise in business and communications to every project, blending strategic thinking with creativity to support entrepreneurs and organizations in their growth.
In addition to her business work, Fiyin is an accomplished vocalist and songwriter. Trained in musical theatre at the Canadian College of Performing Arts and certified in Jazz Music from the University of Saskatchewan, she blends jazz, gospel, and soul influences in her performances. Her most recent single, Walking by Faith, has been featured on international radio platforms, continuing her journey of using music as a tool for inspiration and connection.
Fiyin is also deeply committed to community development through her role as Co-Founder and board leader of the Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan (BPES) which provides space, resources, and programming for Black entrepreneurs and professionals. Through her grant writing and leadership, she has helped secure over $400,000 in funding and sponsorships to support cultural programming and community growth.
Recognized for her contributions, Fiyin received the YWCA Women of Distinction Award for Arts, Culture, and Heritage in 2022.This year, she was also named one of CIBWE’s 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada, representing Saskatchewan. Across all her endeavors business, music, and community leadership she continues to focus on creativity, empowerment, and legacy.
